We all strive to perfect our acts, to take our magic to a place where it is indeed the real thing, only very few of us have the dedication to arrive in this perfect place. Tommy Wonder was one of these people. it is a very sad day for magic and the world is now a sadder, place without him in it. I have so much i want to say but i am afraid i am lost for words. Tommy wonder was my greatest inspiration in magic to me. Tommy wonder is,was and always will be the very very best! what more can i say? Goodbye! |

Beste Tommy,
Slechtste verdwijning ooit!
Veronique had me verteld hoe slecht het ging. Ik wens haar sterkte. Ik wens de familie sterkte.
Ik zal nog veel van je leren.
En velen.
Je ideeën leven voort! |

"There is not any trickery, it is real magic!" This was my thinking, when I saw Tommy the first time (It was in Germany, in 1988).
I was Autodidact in magic, and I was very proud of this, I thought much about the art of magic for myself. But after reading the two books of Tommy, I know that there is somebody who has thought in any direction far more than I did, and I learned from those books so much, that I was not allowed to say any longer that I had no teacher!
A wise man said, that the sense of life is, that there must be a difference, if a person has lived or not.
You did your part, and much more than this!
Thank you, Tommy, for everything!

I come to say goodbye to the friend I never met face to face . . . to a man cordial enough to answer the technical emails of a magician nowhere near his stock, with no hesitation or question.
To the performer who has influenced my approach to the art more than any other, I bid you adieu, Mr. Wonder . . . I will have to place the other ten-thousand cthartic thoughts aside for now, and just say . . . goodbye. |

Lieve Jos,

One of the true highlights of my magic life was to have the opportunity to discuss magic and various refinements to the vanishing birdcage effect with Tommy. The kindess that he showed me that night during our discussions will always be with me. The thought, preparation, skill, talent and spirit that he brought to magic was a pure gift to the magic community. His contributions to our art will be remembered, forever. |

Zaterdagmiddag,
