Licence Agreements |

11 September 2014
In the past we have been approached by a number
of people who would like to get permission to produce a certain trick from Tommy Wonder.
In such cases, contracts were written and signed, a fee was negotiated, and often
also including one or two free copies of the trick manufactured as a gift for some of the estate members.
Well, that did not work out in all cases. Or should I say, did not work out in most cases.
Anyway, all that past experience has led to a new policy. If you want to
replicate one of the tricks from Tommy Wonder, do as you please. Beware that
some tricks are already licensed to others, and you might want to check with
them first, to get their approval or not.
You have a video with Tommy and you want to share? Please do! Put it on Youtube, or make copies and sell them. Again, do as you please. We won't come out and chase you.
Do you want to perform one of Tommy's tricks or act? Please do! Show it everywhere!
You don't need a licence or special permission. Work your butt off to make it look
as perfect as possible and know that you have the Estate's blessings.
Yes, that's how it is. No need for a license or an agreement. Not on paper,
not a verbal agreement, simply nothing. But DO check with other manufacturers, publishers, performers,
if they have a licence or signed agreement or not. That is the homework you need to do yourself.
Is there a catch? No. But there is one little request. When applicable, mention
the name Tommy Wonder in your manual, packaging, advertisment. Thank you for doing that.
Possibly Incomplete List of licences/permissions/agreements that already have been given to others:
If you think or feel you have an existing contract with the estate that is not
listed here, now is a good time to return that signed contract. I will then
include it to the above list.
